Million Cove Hotel can be found on the Lizard Peninsula in Cornwall. It is surrounded by crashing waves and beautiful sea views. It is an ideal spot to stop for a drink or some lunch when walking along the coastal path. It is also dog friendly!
The Spa
I was very lucky to be gifted a “Sea Spray Spa Afternoon” for two which usually costs £99 a person. This includes 4 hours of use of the spa facilities, a 45 minute massage, unlimited herbal tea throughout and a two course lunch in the Glenbervie Bistro.
The spa has an outdoor swimming pool, an outdoor hot tub, a hydrotherapy pool, a steam room, a sauna and a Himalayan salt room. We were very lucky to have the spa to ourselves.
Treatment
I was greeted by a lovely therapist for my full body massage. She made me feel very welcome and comfortable. I was given a choice of three different scented oils for the massage – I chose the lemon one which was supposed to help release toxins from the body.
The room was set up very nicely with relaxing music, lighting and even a heated bed. As well as the full body massage you are also given the choice of a leg and foot massage or a chest, neck and scalp massage.
After the treatment we were taken to the ocean view rejuvenation room. Here we were given blankets and herbal tea and were able to lounge on the bed watching the sea.
Lunch at the Glenbervie Bistro
Lunch at the bistro was incredible. The service was amazing – we had a very friendly waiter who also told us lots about the spa just before we started our spa day. A two course lunch is included in the price of this spa day. There is a supplement of £5 needed if you choose the steak or the monkfish.
For the starter we got the Japanese chicken and the mussels. Both were amazing and you could really taste how fresh the mussels were.
For the main we got fish and chips and the katsu monkfish curry. Both were great and it was definitely worth the £5 supplement for the monkfish!
Overall we had an amazing day full of relaxing. Even though we didn’t pay for this experience we thought it was definitely worth the money that the hotel charge for it. Would definitely recommend this spa to anyone – it would also make a great gift!
