A very beautiful natural tidal pool hidden within a little cave just near Padstow
I absolutely love finding a new mermaid pool – especially one I’ve never even seen online anywhere before. I came across this one when I was walking over the coastal path towards Mother Ivey’s Bay from the National Trust Trevose Head carpark.

If you walk down onto the beach and head to the left and keep walking you will eventually reach it tucked away in the corner of the beach. The best time to visit would be a couple of hours either side of low tide. Quite often a lot of the tidal pools I find are quite a steep scramble and therefore not suitable for children. However, this one is accessible straight from the beach with no climbing needed. It is also dog friendly too!

It is a very small pool with one deep part in it where you can easily fully dip yourself in. You are fully sheltered and hidden away in the cave which was very peaceful.
